What you will fill in
- Which province is the rental home in?
- Landlord's full legal name
- Tenant's full name (all tenants on the lease)
- Address of the rental unit
- What kind of tenancy is it?
- Current rent ($)
- New rent ($)
- Date the new rent starts
- Date of the last increase or the start of the tenancy
- Ontario only: was the unit first lived in after November 15, 2018?
- Date you give the notice
Good to know
- Ontario must use LTB form N1 and BC must use RTB form RTB-7. This document gives you the exact answers to copy.
- Count the notice from the day the tenant gets it, and add days if you mail it. A notice that is too short is not valid, and the old rent stays.
- Do not ask for the new rent before the start date, and give a rent receipt for every payment.

हिन्दी: जिस प्रांत में घर है वह चुनें। हर प्रांत के नियम अलग हैं।
Français: Les règles sur les avis, les dépôts et les formulaires changent d'une province à l'autre. Choisissez la province où se trouve le logement.
