- Your spouse's or partner's full name

Good to know
- In BC you can make a will from age 16. In most other provinces you must be 18 (or the age of majority), with some exceptions.
- Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba also accept a will written fully in your own handwriting (holograph will) with no witnesses. A printed will like this one always needs two witnesses.
- BC lets a spouse or child ask the court to change a will that does not provide for them fairly (WESA s. 60). Alberta has similar family maintenance claims. If you leave someone out, see a lawyer.
- Make a new will after a marriage, separation, a new child or a move to another province.
Help in your language
Every question comes with help like this. For example, “Does any of these apply to you?”:
English: If one does, a lawyer should check it before you sign. You can still make the full document here.
