Good to know
- An enduring power of attorney covers money and property only. For health care, use a Representation Agreement or Advance Directive in BC, or a Personal Directive in Alberta.
- Banks and the Land Title Office may ask for the original or a certified copy. Make several copies after signing.
- Your attorney must keep your money separate from theirs, keep records and act in your best interests. You can cancel this in writing while you are capable.
