Good to know
- For EI maternity, parental, sickness or caregiving benefits, apply to Service Canada. Your employer files your Record of Employment.
- Your employer cannot ask for a doctor's note for the 3 ESA sick days. They can ask for other reasonable proof.
- Your job and seniority are protected during ESA leave, and benefits plans usually continue.
